Easter Activity: The Veil is Torn

Looking for an easy but really meaningful activity for Easter?

Download this free devotion and activity to help children of all ages understand more about what the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ means for us.

Before Christ became our mediator giving us access to God the Father and giving us the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, God gave His people a temple. The temple was a shadow of the things to come. In the innermost part of the temple was the holiest, the most sacred and special place of all. And because it was so holy, God had his people construct a magnificent curtain or veil to separate the holy of holies from the rest of the temple. But when Christ died the temple curtain was torn in two from top to bottom!

This activity will allow your children to make a veil/curtain out of card stock or even paper with crayons, markers, paints, etc. Then on Good Friday or on Easter Sunday, you can rip them from top to bottom as you remember that we now have access to God the Father through the Son, Jesus Christ.

There is even further Scripture reading and questions to help understand the significance of the curtain being torn in two.
